todays topic as you may already no is soul eater.now soul eater is an anime that i really steered clear of for quite awhile cuase quite frankly i thought it looked stupid and was just another show targeted at the younger audience but boy was i wrong.one day at my local dvd rental store me and my fiancee had nothing better to do soo decided screw it and gave it a chance and much to my delight i loved it.
STORY:the story not to give much away centres around misters and syths whos job it is to search for and destroy evil souls.a mister is a trained student who fights with another student who is a syth which has the ability to transform into a weapon.and its definitely and interesting concept and it really works well.it starts off really nothing special but dont let that turn you aways it really picks up after ep 11.i really dont wanna spoil much story but eventually a evil thats locked underneath the school is realised and thats were the series comes into its own.it has a very good blend of humour and action and ule find it hard to not have a fav character.
CHARACTERS: from left to right: maka and blair,patty,elizabeth,tsubaki,death the kid and black star.
this is the main crew for the most part not including death or stein.also soul is not pictured there but is very much a main character being maka's weapon.what can i say really an interesting bunch of characters maka and soul being the main of the main here.maka is a very normal girl really but boy does she kick but to begin with theres not much to her but i cant say much without spoiling the story other then shes the daughter of the greatest weapon in the schools history and her mother was one of the best misters in the schools history so she has alot to live upto.soul is very spur of the moment almost reckless at time character yet at the same time hes kool and relaxed about life.death the kid is a genius concept of a character he is the son of death and has obsessive conpulseive disorder everything has to be symmetrical or he will straight up stop what hes doin or have a break down lol the twins being his weapons in the form of dual guns not much to them really.and that just leaves black star and tsubaki black star is idk ummm the best way i could put him is take naruto make him look cooler and less annoying and there you go hes quite an annoying character to start with but eventually becomes much more then that on his quest to surpass god and tsubaki is aextremely loyal and patient and probably the only person who can put up with black star all the time and really understands him.
SOUNDS:not much to say here really other then the music that is used in this series is very good and the dubbing was done very well in my opinion.
OVERALL:in a nutshell soul eater is a really well done series with a excellent use of action and humour and would recommend it to any fan of anime or even if your not an anime fan you would probably enjoy this quite a bit.i would also like to add that you should definitely read the manga as well you wont be disappointed
